Olympiacos F.C. gives its crowd the opportunity to come into direct contact with the team’s players and this Staurday it was Jean II Makoun’s turn.
On the occasion of this visit, Makoun also stated the following:
“I feel very well at the moment. I can’t say if my participation brought luck to our team in the game against Dortmund but I do know that we had also played well in the previous two games. The important thing for me is that I was a starter in the Champions League and in a home match nonetheless. I think we are doing much better and that we will keep improving in the future. If I was to sign autographs for all our supporters who attend our home games I think I would happily do it. Our fans are a great part in what we do and I am really happy to be on this team.”
About the team’s future in the Champions League: “We made a strong come-back. In the Champions League we didn’t start off very well in the beginning as we lost the first match but the fact that it was our first official game for the season should not be used as an excuse. I am certain that we can do much better.”
About his team’s goals: “Although the Champions League and the Greek Championship are two completely different things, I think they are both just as important because you can only get to play in the champions league if you play well in the domestic league.”
About the game against Panionios: «I am ready to help if needed. I do not think that we will focus on our opponents’ game but on ours. We will try to impose our style and pace”.
About the fans: “I have played on many grounds but I have never experienced something similar before. I believe that many of our points are because of our crowd and thanks to their support from the very first to the very last minute. They are unbelievable.”
