Only a few days are left before the new season official kick-off for Olympiacos. On Tuesday afternoon, the club presented its three new kits (plus those of the goalkeepers) to be used by the squad players!
During the event held at “G. Karaiskakis” stadium, complemented with a full press-conference and an open training session, all attending Olympiacos friends and members of the Press had the chance to see the new PUMA kits for our squad, as well as the players in action prior to the opening fixture against Veria F.C. next weekend!
Shortly after 19:00, the gates of “G. Karaiskakis” stadium opened for the crowd to enter the premises. The central stands covering the Pure Red and V.I.P. sections were flooded with more than 5.000 friends of our club, who bursted in applause and chants once seeing the players entering the pitch for their training!
Olympiacos players were divided into three groups with each one bearing one of the new season kits. Ibagaza, Diogo, Cholevas, Vlachodimos, Fejsa, Siovas and Mitroglou put on the white-red kit. Djebbour, Modesto, Abdoun, Greco, Papazoglou, Zaradoukas and Lykogiannis had the whites, while Machado, Pantelić, Fuster, Manolas, Contreras, Fetfatzidis, Torosidis and Maniatis wore the blue one.
The players stood in the middle of the pitch and watched, together with the fans, a beautiful video clip on the stadium’s matrix screens! The clip featured Avraam Papadopoulos and presented in brief the history of Olympiacos jersey, imbued with glory, titles, honor and pride! After the end of the clip, the crowd clapped vividly and the training started out. The schedule was not that intense and the focus was on technique and tactics.
Andreas Tatos followed a personal training program due to a calf strain.
The squad’s training was also attended by Olympiacos President, Mr Vaggelis Marinakis. Once the fans took notice of him, they gave him a warm applaude.
