The club’s “next-gen” is here to prove that Olympiacos is one and undivided. During a beautiful event, our club presented at the Renti sports premises, today afternoon (12:00), its brand new mascot.
Its name is Leone, deriving from the famed Port of Lions (Porto Leone), and it bears number 7 on its shirt, a symbolic number for our side. Leone continues the legacy of “Thrileon”, a living memory in the history of Olympiacos and a mascot linked with the club.
A crowd of kids attending Olympiacos “Summer Camps” created a marvelous atmosphere on the stand and welcomed Leone with a loud voice and chants, filled with joy and happiness that one could see on their faces. Its entrance brought about a wave of enthusiasm and all “future football stars” couldn‘t help hugging and taking photos with him.
The chant “Olympiacos” would echo all around shaking the ground and all the kids sung in a single voice the typical chant during our side’s matches, “You are something magical in our minds”. Once Leone appeared in front of them, they all started signing “Leone, it’s insane when you see you in the red shirt”.
Leone himself grabbed the opportunity and hugged each of the kids who attended this beautiful celebration. Of course, he took photos with each one of them, and the kids had the chance to demonstrate what is about to happen in all the side’s home games whenever Leone appears in the pitch or visits the “Red Store”.
