Olympiacos FC sends its deepest condolences to the Real Madrid family on the loss of great Alfredo di Stefano.
Following the sad news of such a loss, members of the Olympiacos family expressed their sympathy and desire to share a few thoughts on this legendary member of Real.
Michel:“Feeling sorrow for his death is not enough. He and Santiago Bernabeu actually created Real Madrid, as we know it and have learnt from it. Alfredo di Stefano will not be replaced and will always be unique. I am sure that he will set up a football team up there, since he cannot stand a single moment without football”!
ChristianKarembeu:“He was a Legend for Real Madrid. Football has lost one its finest and certainly a great figure for Madrid football. He was one of the main figures reflecting Real’s greatness and we will remember him forever. He was one of the best players of all times, hugely successful and a role-model for every young football player. We mourn his passing and I hope his soul will find a proper resting place in heavens”.
Rafael Acorta:“This is an immense loss for football. Those of us who were lucky to have played in Real, had also the chance to have met him. When he talked, we would all listen to him with attention. We must keep him in our memory, he was a Real Madrid myth”.
