Training in Minneapolis

The Legend’s players had their training this evening at Minnesota’s Elizabeth Lyle Robbie training grounds.

Once Olympiacos’ squad touched the Minneapolis’ soil, they had a good training session waiting for them. After having lunch and getting some rest at their hotel, the squad went at 18:00 local time to Minnesota’s Eizabeth Lyle Robbie training grounds for training.

They worked a lot with the ball; they performed ball possession exercises and pace control, aiming at better and quicker ball passing and, for those defending, putting proper pressure on the ball. Then, they had a 11-on-11 on a 3/4 sized pitch with all players taking part. At a moment, David Fuster suffered a “studs-up” tackle during marking by one of his teammates. He had to be sidelined, however there is nothing actually severe with him.

After the end of training, the players have been “hedged” in by lots of people who attended their training! They signed many autographs, with Michel and “Chori” being the center of interest.

For the former, a fan of Atletico Celaya –the side which Michel joined after leaving Real Madrid- came to the stadium; this man is now a priest and Michel was particularly glad to see him! Also, a young man showed up at the training ground bearing a River Plate flag and he could hardly wait for having a photo with Dominguez and Saviola.
