After his first training with Olympiacos, our club’s new head coach, Mr Vitor Pereira, spoke to Olympiacos TV camera. He made reference to his first impression of the squad and stressed the will to introduce new concepts and principles in our side’s style of play. He also sent his personal message to the fans of Olympiacos!
In detail:
“My first impression is quite positive! A very good one! I saw that there is a will and appetite to assimilate the ideas we will try to imbue the players with. Today we made a start in introducing these new concepts and principles we want to display on the pitch; and we will continue”, were Mr Pereira’s first words.
Then, the Portuguese coach pinpointed: “I came here to build a side of my own; a side with its own character of high pressure and ball possession. A side that will make difficult for the opponent to organize its attack and I hope the players will swiftly assimilate these new instructions. Of course, we are here to work in order to win titles and add on the club’s moments of success”.
He concluded by saying: “I know our fans and their strength very well. Even when I was in my country, I used to watch the way in which the assisted their beloved side and the drive they provide our players to deal with any hardship. What a fantastic atmosphere they create! I hope they will keep believing in us and in the great things we can achieve, and supporting us, as they have always been doing”!
