Olympiacos FC is pleased to announce the signing of Diogo Nascimento. The Portuguese midfielder was born in Leiria on November 2, 2002.
He began his football journey at Sporting CP’s Academy, then moved to the Belenenses Academy in 2012. From 2014 to 2023, he developed through the ranks of Benfica’s Academy – from the U14 team all the way to the club’s B team.
In the summer of 2023, he transferred to Vizela where he made 34 appearances in Liga Portugal during the 2023–24 season. The previous season, he played in Portugal’s second division with Vizela, featuring in 35 league matches and one Portuguese Cup game, registering one goal and one assist.
Nascimento was also a key part of Portugal’s U21 national team at the recent U21 Euro.
