Olympiacos wrapped up the first stage of their preseason preparations in the Netherlands by completing their third friendly fixture. This time, they faced AZ Alkmaar and came away with a 2–0 win, making it three wins in three matches during their summer preparations.
The “red-and-whites” will now return to Greece before heading back to the Netherlands for the second phase of their preparations, which will include additional friendly games.
In the match against the Dutch side, Olympiacos opened the scoring in the 36th minute with a well-placed cross from Pneumonidis and a header by El Kaabi. The Moroccan striker doubled the lead in the 72nd minute, converting a pass from Betancor to seal the final 2–0.
