Olympiacos FC is proud and delighted to announce the opening of its new, state-of-the-art Museum at the “G. Karaiskakis” Stadium. The creation of our club’s new Museum is an initiative of our President, Mr. Evangelos Marinakis, and marks the culmination and highlight of the grand celebrations held this year in Piraeus—and throughout Greece—for the 100 years anniversary of Olympiacos’ glorious and legendary history. For this reason, and as a token of appreciation for the public’s love, admission will be free throughout the month of August, with the doors opening to the public on Monday, August 4th.
In collaboration with the internationally renowned company Mediapro Exhibitions, which has developed some of the world’s most iconic museums —including football ones, Olympiacos has completed a true work of art. A landmark for Piraeus, the city where the Club was born. A Museum that stands as the Ark of the Legend, through which all generations will be able to feel what Olympiacos means and the values that the greatest multi-sport Club in the world represents, throughout the years.
In the new Olympiacos Museum, visitors will journey through the history of Piraeus and our Club, discover unique exhibits, witness the evolution of the red-and-white jersey over time, “meet” the legends of the Club who left their mark on our triumphs, and admire the Club’s trophies displayed in a breathtaking formation. Fans, supporters and all visitors will have the opportunity to relive Olympiacos’ great victories in Greece and Europe, get to know the coach and players better through interactive quizzes, and even take a virtual tour of the Rentis Training Center and the “G. Karaiskakis” Stadium using cutting-edge and dedicated audiovisual technology.
The Gate 7 Tragedy will never be forgotten, and the memory of the 21 unjustly lost lives in February 1981 will live on forever—also honored within the new Museum.
Our charitable actions and the social solidarity that Olympiacos stands for also leave their mark within the Museum space—and in the hearts of our visitors.
The conquest of the UEFA Europa Conference League and the UEFA Youth League is brought to life in a specially designed area, and the historic trophies will be permanently displayed in a prominent position—so that the older generations remember and the younger ones learn how a crazy dream became… reality!
A Museum for the entire red-and-white Olympiacos family, with special tribute to the major titles won by the Olympiacos S.F.P. and Olympiacos B.C. teams, both in Greece and in Europe.
The journey through Olympiacos FC’s new legendary Museum will be a unique experience for young and old alike. Visitors will have the chance to remember and learn the history of Olympiacos and to be entertained through state-of-the-art technology featuring 3D holograms and interactive games for all ages!
Visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to experience the unique thrill offered by the “Robokeeper” installation, testing their scoring skills. Additionally, through the latest technology photo booths, they’ll be able to capture their own red-and-white themed photos!
The new Olympiacos Museum will not only evoke excitement and awe, but also chills and deep emotion for those who visit it.
