Olympiacos had no trouble against Volos NPS, claiming a 5–0 win at “G. Karaiskakis” in MD3 of the Greek Cup. Despite making several changes to their starting lineup, the “Red-and-whites” showed a strong performance on the pitch and made it two wins from two in the competition.
As early as the 5th minute, Biancone opened the scoring with a header after a corner from Strefezza, making it 1–0. The 2–0 came in the 43rd minute with a close-range finish from Yaremchuk, who then scored again in 44’ with a stunning long-range strike on the move. Biancone made it 4–0 in the 45+2 minute with his second goal of the night. The final 5–0 was sealed by Yazici in the 67th minute from the penalty spot, after Pnevmonidis earned the foul.
