Olympiacos is not just a sports organization, but something far greater, with an extensive charitable presence in support of people in need, always standing at the forefront of social initiatives, offering not only material assistance, but emotional support as well. This is precisely what our team did once again on Tuesday afternoon, December 30, in the final days of 2025.
A delegation of Olympiacos players visited the Pediatric Center of the Athens Medical Center in Maroussi, bringing “red-and-white” gifts and smiles to children who are currently hospitalized. Rodinei, Santiago Hezze, Francisco Ortega, Nikos Botis and Argyris Liatsikouras briefly set aside their football boots, entered the children’s rooms, took photos with them and offered Olympiacos gifts. Accompanying the players was Olympiacos’ Head of Medical Services, Christos Theos.

As part of the visit, Olympiacos captain Rodinei stated: “We are here to visit the children, just two days before the new year. I am happy to be here as a member of Olympiacos and to offer a bit of joy through my presence to the families who need it”.

Hezze, for his part, said: “We wish all families a happy new year filled with health. We came here to bring smiles to the children, to spend some time with them and to play together using the gifts we brought”, while Ortega added: “Olympiacos is always by the side of everyone who needs help and support. That’s why we came here today—to offer a bit of joy to the children and some gifts, to lift their spirits”.

Botis’ message regarding the visit to the Athens Medical Center was the following: “Olympiacos’ social contribution is significant, this Christmas as it is every year. We are happy that, through small gestures, we can stand by the children and the doctors, who fight their own daily battle”.
Argyris Liatsikouras added: “Happy holidays to everyone. We came here to help the children. I wish everyone good health and a happy new year, and we will always be here to support the children and give them love”.

Finally, Christos Theos commented: “The Christmas and New Year holidays are about joy and love. The Olympiacos organization is always sensitive to such matters, and today we came to the Pediatric Clinic of the Athens Medical Center to bring joy to the hospitalized children. Our wishes are for happiness, good health, a speedy recovery and a quick return home for the little fighters, strength and courage, and of course love and light for the nurses and doctors who selflessly care for the children. Happy holidays to everyone”.
