Kostas Barbis has been a teacher of Greek history at an American university’s European branch, General Director of the State Scholarship Foundation, a member in granting committees for foreign scholarships, General Secretary of the International Scientific Society <>, General Director in a newspaper, and he is currently the President in the Municipality of Korydallos Literature Club and –for 15th time- a BoD member in Olympiacos S.F.P. (Association and Club).
Moreover, he has collaborated with numerous newspapers and magazines, whereas he has been hosting for many years his own TV and Radio sport shows. He is the President of PEFO (Panhellenic Union of Olympiacos Friends), member of the Journalists’ Union of Piraeus Daily Newspapers; he has also delivered 198 lectures (on historic issues) both in Greece and abroad, as well as in international byzantine studies conferences in English, French and Italian language. He has translated 97 books from these languages and he is the author of 74 works in total.
Kostas N. Barbis has been conferred with 3 gold medals, 3 State merit awards and 134 cups and plaques for his national, social, educational and humanitarian activities, whereas in 1991 he was proclaimed “Top Supporter in the Country” and also holds membership (since its creation) of the “Move the Korydallos Prison complex” Civil Committee.
