The “red-and-whites” were beaten 0–1 on home soil by Panathinaikos on Matchday 20 of the Stoiximan Super League. Before kick-off, both teams laid flowers in front of Gate 7 in memory of the 21 fans who lost their lives on 8 February 1981, as a minute’s silence was held.
The only goal of the match was scored by Taborda in the 7th minute.
