Olympiacos did not start the Stoiximan Super League playoffs as they would have liked, as they suffered a 0-1 defeat to AEK at the “G. Karaiskakis” on the opening matchday. The “red-and-whites” fell behind early in the match and, despite not being threatened by their opponents afterwards, were unable to find the goal that would have changed the outcome.
The goal that decided the match was scored by Koïta in the 5th minute, while in the 90+7th minute Yazıcı found the net with a shot, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
