“Supporting UNICEF’s work is a very important initiative!”

Ibrahim Afellay visited the Red Store and received a collective UNICEF t-shirt.

Ibrahim Afellay was presented, Wednesday, with his own collective UNICEF t-shirt with the “Olympiacos for Life” logo on it.

Our club’s new signing visited the Red Store before kick-off of the great Friendly against Athletic Bilbao, in order to support the cause of this global organization, by purchasing this t-shirt marketed by our club; all sales proceeds will be given to strengthen the work of UNICEF.

A large crowd attended the event and came to see our player, who was given a tour in the store and expressed his excitement!

See below his quotes in detail to the OlympiacosTV camera:

“I feel really fine because I think that supporting UNICEF’s work is a very important initiative. Lots of people came and that generated some beautiful feelings inside me”.

You have played in various blubs in the past, like Barcelona, which has always been supporting UNICEF’s cause. How important do you think it is for football-involved individuals to contribute in this way for children’s welfare?

“It is very important to carry out such initiatives because there is people across the planet who has nothing, no job, no food or water, and we are the ones who have to make the difference”.
