Olympiacos played their third friendly match of the summer pre-season in the Netherlands, this time facing Fortuna Sittard. The Red-and-whites emerged victorious with a 3-1 win, with Jota Silva stealing the spotlight on his unofficial debut by scoring a hat-trick in the friendly encounter.
The Portuguese forward opened the scoring in the 20th minute before doubling Olympiacos’ lead in the 24th minute with a composed finish in a one-on-one situation. The Dutch side pulled one back in the 56th minute through Ouakili, but Jota Silva restored the two-goal advantage just two minutes later, converting a penalty that had been won by Martins to seal the final 3-1 scoreline.
