A sight for sore eyes…
Olympiacos F.C.’s performance against F.C. Internazionale Milano in the friendly game that was held on Sunday, August 21 at the “Stade de Geneve” in Switzerland, was exactly what every club fan hopes to see from its beloved team.
Although the reds were left with 10 men on 28 minutes -due to Olof Mellberg’s second yellow card- their team spirit and passion kept them going, not only giving them the strength to hold on but also the boost to achieve two goals and take the lead against the home team 2-0 (1-0 on 47′ and 2-0 on 68′). However, Giampaolo Pazzini found his way to the net twice, equalizing the game (2-1 on 75′, 2-2 on 89′) and thus leaving the visitors with the bitter taste of 2-2 a draw.
This was the last game during the club’s pre-season preparation and a very strong test in sight of the upcoming Greek Championship’s premiere as well as the Champions League.
