“We were in control of the game; it’s just that we were more relaxed in some moments which Aris took advantage of, scored two goals and was back in the game. However, I think that our victory over Aris was fair. We also had some opportunities to end the game earlier.
Aris pressured us a great deal during the last minutes of the game but I honestly think that we performed better and our victory was fair. Olympiacos is well prepared every week so that we can meet the expectations of all competitions we participate in. Today we were ready for the game against Aris and this is why we managed to beat them.
As for the upcoming match against Pantathinaikos, we will do our best. It is with great pleasure that we play in this kind of derbies and we will do our best to win the game and the three points that go along; that way we will give ourselves the lead in the standings.”

“We knew that after our draw with OFI and two weeks before the match against Panathinaikos we had a very difficult game against Aris. It was mandatory for us to win this match and get the three points and it’s a good thing we did. The truth is that we had the opportunity to end the game faster, but I am happy about getting these three points. I am not very happy with myself though, given that I missed out on a tremendous opportunity to score, extend the lead to 3-0 and practically pit an early end to the match. We will now concentrate on the upcoming game where we will be taking on Panathinaikos; we will go in for the victory which I believe we can achieve.”
