The comments of our players

Following the game against Asteras Tripolis, Olympiacos F.C. football players stated the following:

Marco Pantelic
“We did not enter the game the way we should have. From a shot from the far side of the pitch, Asteras won a penalty and after that we were only trying to catch them for a better result. We are not happy with our game tonight, neither with the result. Everything has a meaning. No matter who is playing us, we must always win. We are entering a dangerous turn in the championship and we need to start winning again so that we can get to the top of the table. Only through victories and a good performance in the upcoming games can we get a physiologic boost. There is still a long way ahead.”

Vicente Monje
“We couldn’t find each other very well on the pitch from the very first moments of the game. Asteras tried hard to steal the ball from us and then go for a counter-attack. They achieved their goal. It was a bad match for us. We could find many excuses but the truth is that we didn’t play well. It is definite that our fatigue in combination with the fact that many players were absent played a role in tonight’s game. Any team can have a bad day. We must let it all behind now. It is too early to tell who will win the title in the end. I believe that we can win many games. It is too early to say. It was a bad day and we must let it go. This was not the real Olympiacos. We must make our come-back.”
