Olympiacos’s players that were not called to their National teams and remained in Athens, had today the chance to “stretch” a bit, by playing a training friendly match against our club’s U20 team. They won by 4-0.
Leonardo Jardim, on the other hand, had another opportunity to see some of his players in action, together with the chance to see Fuster and Greco playing for the first time this summer. Paulo Machado did his debut.
The U20 team did not seem afraid of the first squad. The young players of our club were exceptional, showed quality in their game and were applauded by the few spectators at the “G. Karaiskakis” stadium. They also appeared to be ready to participate at the NextGen Series competition.
Ibagaza scored first, while Greco marked 2-0. Diogo was the one to make it 3-0, while Djebbour scored Olympiacos’s fourth goal.
OLYMPIACOS F.C.: Choutesiotis, Karagounis, Manolas, Papazoglou, Zaradoukas, Modesto, Ibagaza, Tatos, Fetfatzidis, Machado, Pantelic. Greco, Fuster, Abdoun, Fejsa Djebbour and Diogo also played.
OLYMPIACOS U20: Vlachos, Leandro, Rougalas, Vouros, Sotirakos, Soukias, Em. Siopis, Liras, Rikspun, Pedakis, Ioannidis. Dimakakos, Badounas, Papasavvas, Maragaritis, Voutsiotis, Dim. Siopis, Karkasinas and Vergos also played.
