It was as early as the 6th minute when our side took the lead! Abdoun made a magic through-pass to Ibagaza, who dribbled past Dentsas and got tackled in the area. Referee Dimitropoulos awarded this crystal-clear penalty and Djammel Abdoun converted it for the lead, 1-0!
In 19’, Cholevas received the ball from the right, after having taken a corner kick. His left-footed cross met free Torosidis who marked 2-0 with a header.
In 37’, Platanias got lucky and scored thanks to a far shot by Udoji. The ball bounced down and followed a weird trajectory that confused Carroll, who failed to save it.
In the second half, Olympiacos ruled the pitch once more, created scoring opportunities every time the side was in offense, however despite the players’ efforts the score remained as it was; now, the squad has to focus on the Tuesday encounter against Arsenal in “G. Karaiskakis” stadium.
