The match kicked off with Olympiacos breaking loose on the offense. The first half however ended in a goalless draw despite the “red and whites” overwhelming dominance over the opponents on the pitch.
Olympiacos took on the second half in an even more aggressive manner. Finally, our side’s clear control of the encounter came to fruition in the 79’, when Mitroglou’s on-target shot outside the box provided for the 1-0 lead that remained until the final whistle.
