Eric Cantona has left today our country, which he visited for filming his new documentary.
As it is known, the French star established a few years ago his own production company, «Canto Bros», which is active in producing a series of documentaries entitled “Looking for” and dealing with all major derbies around the world.
So, he decided to travel to our country for his new documentary about the Olympiacos – Panathinaikos derby.
In this context, Olympiacos FC gave Eric Cantona a tour over the past days in Georgios Karaiskakis stadium and the Museum, while Olympiacos FC President, Mr Vaggelis Marinakis, invited him to attend, on Sunday March 31, the Olympiacos-PAOK fixture in our stadium in Faliro.
Before match kick-off, Mr Vaggelis Marinakis offered him a commemorative football shirt with squad number “7” and delivered Mr Cantona the club’s member card designating him as an honorary member of the “red-and-white” family.
Then, the French came down to the pitch, where players were warming up and took some shots to be used for his documentary.
Eric Cantona watched the match from the 3rd floor box together with his brother, Marie-Jean Cantona, his brother’s wife, Giannis Vretzos and Juan Jose Lorentho.
After the end of the match, Olympiacos FC President hosted Erc Cantona a dinner at V’ammos restaurant inside “Georgios Karaiskakis” stadium premises.
It must be noted that the Frenchman’s crew will return to Greece in the coming days for discussions with the club’s representatives and complete filming.
