Roberto was the goalkeeper, with Papazogloy, Manolas, Avraam and Bong in defense from right to left. Samaris and N’Dings were the midfielders, whereas Fuster and Weiss took on the wings. “Chori” was placed behind Saviola in attack.
From the opening minutes, Olympiacos was better on the pitch and managed to convert in 21ʼ when Manolas headed home after a Samaris free kick.
The match speed dropped and Panthrakikos availed itself to level to match with Igor in 42′.
The second half kicked off with Olympiacos building up the pressure for a second goal, which was scored in 53′ courtesy of a Campbell header. Five minutes later, it was Samaris’ turn to add his name in the scoreboard by means of a masterly performed free kick.
Final 1-4 was registered by Saviola in 88′ following a feed by Andreas Samaris.
