Olympiacos is visiting Toronto, Canada in order to play his first match for the ICC and has a… heavy schedule ahead of him! The Greeks living abroad, at all latitudes of the world, live and breathe (most of them) for Olympiacos and of course this is how things are in Toronto as well!
On the day of the match against Milan, the opening match of this year’s ICC, a delegation of the players and members of the administration together with the coach Mr Michel visited the fan club of the Legend in the Canadian city and were warmly greeted by the “red-and-white” fans that flooded even the sidewalk outside the building! The Greek element has a really strong presence in this part of the town and, as anyone can understand, the love of the people for the Legend is overwhelming!
More than 250 fans of our side of all ages welcomed Mr Michel, Giannis Maniatis, Omar Elabdellaoui, Kostas Manolas, “Chori” Dominguez as well as Christian Karembeu, Pierre Issa and Communications Director Kostas Karapapas and were overcome with joy!
The players of Olympiacos did not stop signing jerseys, posters, t-shirts, autographs, balls and many more! So did Mr Michel as well as Karembeu and Issa! They offered the fan club’s friends two jerseys signed by our players and appeared to be enjoying themselves greatly, as they were surrounded with immense love by the fans!
The delegation left shortly afterwards in order to prepare for the great game against Milan in the BMO field, but they all wished to be back soon! All the fans who welcomed our side at the fan club are expected to attend the match, together with many more supporters!
