The Legend’s trip to the US and Canada for this year’s edition of the ICC continues; a legendary trip, filled with great football-related moments, emotions and many benefits at all levels!
On Saturday evening, on the eve of our great fixture against Liverpool, Mr. Michel’s players trained in the pitch where the match will be staged. They were focused more on ball drills. They all had drills on gameplay build-up, defense-attack, ball possession and pressure, plus a 11-on-11 game on a 3/4 sized pitch.
There have been no problems, although Kostas Manolas, following a hit with Masuaku, felt some muscular chest pain and was sidelined for as a precaution. Later on, his x-ray showed no problem, however he didn’t complete training.
There is an additional practice session on match-day, focused on set pieces, as it always is the case before fixtures.
Attended by supporters and the Media
Legend is nowhere alone. So, at Chicago’s Soldier Field, the side had lots of support and encouragement, since many club supporters came Saturday and turned the venue into…a new G. Karaiskakis Stadium by means of their drums and chanting. Also, stands also were crowded with many Liverpool fans and some Americans who grabbed the opportunity to watch the Greek champion during training!
Local (US) Media and others seemed very interested in Olympiacos, since our side features significant players in its roster, including valued and renowned Greek internationals!
