The “laurel-crowned young man” turned 90 years old yesterday (10/3)! The greatness of the Legend is unrivalled and it is well-known that it has an international appeal!
The club’s impressive displays in the European competitions, its collaborations with UNICEF, its participation in the ICC, as well as a series of other activities have made the name of OLYMPIACOS even more known at all latitudes of the world!
This was proved during the club’s anniversary day when the LEGEND celebrated 90 years of glorious history! Many great football associations such as FIFA, UEFA, UNICEF, ECA (European Club Association), ICC (International Champions Cup), EPFL (European Professional Football Leagues), and many more sent their wishes to our club through the social media!
The same happened with the greatest European football clubs who sent their birthday wishes to the LEGEND or posted a picture, using the hashtag #olympiacos90.
Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bilbao, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Ajax, Monaco, Red Star Belgrade, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, CSKA Moscow, Celtic, Girondins de Bordeaux and many more great international clubs sent their wishes to our Olympiacos on its 90th birthday! We wish to remind you that on Sunday Atlético Madrid sent their wishes to our Legend during their match against Valencia, in the Vicente Calderón, by displaying in the stadium’s scoreboards our anniversary logo (See HERE)!
Additionally, current and former aces of the Legend sent their happy birthday wishes to the club, whereas the whole football department sent their wishes through the social media; moreover, Abidal, Ibagaza, Maresca, Modesto, Pardo, Campbell and Machado did not forget their spell in the Piraeus club and also took part in the celebration. The club’s ordinary fans also sent their wishes with thousands of messages!
