Omar Elabdellaoui, a really talented player that never stops evolving, achieved a great distinction: he was voted “Player of the Year” in his home country Norway! The Olympiacos young ace believes his hard work is the reason for this award and talking to the official website of our side, he said he is proud as well as thankful for his progress since he became a player of the Legend!
Congratulations on your award! What are your feelings about this personal distinction you achieved?
Thank you very much! I am very proud; this is of course a great moment for me! It proves that people notice and appreciate the work I’ve been doing all through the year and winning this award for my work, is something really “big” for me!
How has your presence in Olympiacos and the Norway National Team too, helped you improve as a player and win this award?
In many ways really! When I came to Olympiacos, I came to a big club! I came to play big, important games and win titles. This happened and is something that makes me become a better player. I will definitely say that this helped me win this award.
Finally, would you like to send a message to all young, talented players who dream of winning such football awards?
Everything is possible! Work hard, always believe in yourselves. I remember as a kid dreaming of such distinctions, looking at important players and thinking “wow, that’s great!” and I now won this award! As I said, everything is possible. Just keep working hard!
