The hard-fought national liberation of the Greeks was a lesson in selflessness and courage for all of mankind.
The Greeks once again taught people, through the Revolution of 1821, that every sacrifice is small in the face of the supreme good of freedom.
We honour the memory of our warriors and heroes who ensured the future of the homeland and its continuation throughout history and we must all follow their example of love and offering to our country on a daily basis.
Long live Greece.
