Olympiacos was unable to reach the goal of qualifying to the UEFA Champions League group stage, following their 4-0 defeat by Maccabi Haifa in Karaiskakis. The ‘reds’ conceded an early goal (5’) by Chery with a direct free kick, and an additional three in the second half by Pierrot (61’ and 65’), as well as Abu Fani (87’).
Therefore, the goal for Olympiacos is now the UEFA Europa League group stage, and they will face Slovan Bratislava to qualify to the tournament’s playoffs. It should be noted that the first match is scheduled for the 4th of August in George Karaiskakis Stadium, while the second game will be held away on the 11th of the month.
