The “red-and-whites” fulfilled their obligations as required for the new 2022–23 Super League championship. The Greek champions defeated PAS Giannina in “G. Karaiskakis” with a 2–0 win, within the framework of the 1st Super League game.
The lineup of Olympiacos had quite a few substitutions in comparison to the previous match against Apollon Limassol, in light of the rematch against the Cypriot team at home for the UEFA Europa League playoffs.
However, Olympiacos performed well and put pressure on the visiting team, to finally clinch the win thanks to goals by Valbuena (57’) and Ranđelović (74’).
