Holding fast to the traditions of our country, Olympiacos once again stood by the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus and offered the necessary delicacies for the celebration of Tsiknopempti (Smoky Thursday).
On the morning of Thursday (February 20), at the educational institutions of the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus, in the presence of the Vice President and General Director of Olympiacos FC, Mr. Kostas Karapapas, the President and CEO of “G. Karaiskakis” Stadium, Mr. Vasilis Vassiliadis, and the Vice President of Olympiacos FC and Mayor of Piraeus, Mr. Yiannis Moralis, the club visited the Metropolis’ schools and celebrated this day of Orthodox tradition with the children.
The Metropolitan of Piraeus, Seraphim, guided them through the classrooms of the educational institutions, and afterward, everyone gathered with the children. Meanwhile, Olympiacos’ mascot, Leóne, handed out red-and-white gifts to all the young students.
