Official announcement from Olympiacos FC regarding the signing of Nikos Athanasiou.

Olympiacos FC announces the signing of Nikos Athanasiou. The Greek defender was born in Athens on March 16, 2001. The left-footed defender played for Atromitos from 2020 and was loaned to Niki Volos in 2022.

During the 2024–2025 season with Atromitos, he made a total of 33 appearances in the Greek league and cup, scoring four goals and providing seven assists.
