Olympiacos FC is pleased to announce the signing of Switzerland international midfielder Remo Freuler. Born on 15 April 1992, he joins from Bologna, where he made 123 appearances over the past three years, including 40 in the season just concluded.
In the 2022–23 season, he played for Nottingham Forest, making 33 appearances, while from 2016 to 2022 he made 260 appearances for Atalanta, scoring 21 goals and providing 23 assists.
He began his career in Winterthur’s Academy before moving on to GC Zürich U21, followed by Grasshoppers, Winterthur’s first team and Luzern.
Freuler has made 301 appearances in Serie A, 28 in the UEFA Champions League, 24 in the UEFA Europa League and 28 in the Premier League. He has also made 94 appearances for the Switzerland national team, scoring 11 goals.
