Olympiacos FC is pleased to announce the signing of Mexican striker Armando González.
Born on 20 April 2003 in Celaya, the international striker joins from Chivas, where he delivered a series of impressive performances, scoring 24 goals across the Apertura 2025 and Clausura 2026 tournaments.

“Hormiga”, as he is nicknamed, progressed through Chivas’ youth academy before making the step up to the first team and his debut in January 2024. The renowned Guadalajara club boasts the best academy programme in Mexico and one of the leading youth development systems in world football.

The 23-year-old centre-forward has represented his country eight times, scoring one goal, and also featured at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, playing in the opening match against South Africa.
