Despite the fact that Olympiacos were not qualified to the Champios League’s next stage, it is safe to say that they were the team which ought to continue in the competition, next to Arsenal. Olympiacos had five excellent performances out of six games played and once again showed why they deserved to be one of the top. Unfortunately, the qualification was not entirely up to them. However, the applause and the satisfaction of their fans is proof that Olympiacos are on the right track; they are working hard and they can have high hopes for the Europa League. 07.12.2011

In spite of the fact that they were playing at the “Velodrome”, one of the toughest stadiums in France, and despite their many injured players who were unable to offer their services, OLYMPIACOS F.C. still found the way to beat Marseille thanks to a wonderful performance, which apart from pleasing the team fans, granted three more points to the visitors who are now a large step closer to qualifying for the Champions League’s next round. 25.11.2011
