A goal by David Fuster on 71 minutes sealed the victory over Rubin Kazan and Olympiacos now have a 1-0 lead going into the UEFA Europa League round of 32 return leg, which will take place on Thursday, February 23 at the “G. Karaiskakis” stadium. On 73 minutes keeper Roy Caroll came on and pulling off an amazing penalty save, practically became the man of the match.
