Roberto was under the post, with Salino, Manolas, Medjani and Bong in defense. Machado and Samaris took on the midfield, with Weiss and Fuster at the wings, and Saviola joining Mitroglou in the offense.
No later than in the 4′, Javier Saviola scored the opening goal, whereas Mitroglou registered the second in 27′ following a Fuster assist.
The first half ended in an Olympiacos 3-goal lead since Mitroglou scored its second personal goal in 45’ by means of a direct free kick.
