Our Olympiacos has done its deed! The Legend emphatically beat Malmo (4-2) and waited for the final outcome in the Turin match, in order to find out in what European tournament our side will continue its campaign. Juventus and Atletico were drawn level 0-0, so the Piraeus outfit will extend its spell in the Europa League!
Fuster opened scoring for the Legend in 25′ and this boosted our side that remained clearly on top of the match. In the second half, Olympiacos did not wait not a single moment to start adding pressure! However, the Swedes, having produced up to that moment no proper goal-scoring chance, manage to score the equalizer in 59′ and set the match on fire.
The Legend was seeking to take the lead again and they were quick to do so, with Dominguez producing a superb goal and bringing the fans on their feet for our side’s lead, 2-1! Malmo managed to come up with another opportunity and turned it once again into a new equalizer that temporarily “froze” Karaiskakis.
However, Olympiacos had nothing to be fearful of and took the lead once again, in 87′. Chori made the corner kick, Botia won the first header and incoming Mitroglou slotted for the 3-2. In injury time after the 90th minute, Kasami set up Afellay who slotted it superbly to make it for the final 4-2.
