Roberto was at the goal, with Papazoglou, Manolas, Medjani and Cholevas in defense. Weiss, Maniatis and Fuster took on the midfield, whereas Mitroglou and Saviola were selected in offense.
Our side stepped on the pitch aiming at an early opener, and that they did in 7’ courtesy of Kostas Mitroglou. The Greek striker scored also the second in 20’, following great crossing by Papazoglou.
In 31′, Saviola failed to convert the penalty kick against Anastasopoulos, so the first half ended with an Olympiacos 2-goal lead, 2-0.
Goals came quick also after the break. In 63′, Campbell posted 3-0 after a Fuster assist. Seven minutes later, it was Maniatis turn to turn it 4-0.
But the goal-scoring saga was far from over, since in 81′ Kostas Mitroglou took the ball right at the edge of the box and fired home for 5-0, which also meant its third personal goal.
Final 6-0 was registered by Campbell in 82′.
